*கரங்களில் நற்கருணை கொடுப்பதையும்/பெறுவதையும் நிறுத்துங்கள்.*

ஒரு குழந்தை தன் தாயின் மார்பில் பால் குடிக்க வாயைத் திறப்பது போலவும், கூட்டில் உள்ள பறவை தன் இரையைப் பெறுவதற்காகத் தன் தாய்க்கு வாயைத் திறப்பது போலவும், விசுவாசிகள் தலையை உயர்த்தி நாவில் நற்கருணை பெற வேண்டும். உரிய மரியாதை மற்றும் வழிபாடு இல்லாமல் யாரும் நற்கருணையில் பங்கேற்கக்கூடாது. அப்படிச் செய்யத் தவறியது பெரும் பாவம். 

 புனித அகஸ்டின்.

Just as a baby opens its mouth to its mother's breast to drink milk, and a bird in a nest opens its mouth to its mother to receive its prey, so the faithful should raise their heads and receive the Eucharist on the tongue. No one should partake of the Eucharist without due reverence and veneration. Failure to do so is a great sin.
